Vannersborg Tour

Tour to Vannersborg in Sweden by selected 7 Venom members. There they joined up with Fredrikstad and Sagene to represent our 3 clubs (and Norway!) against their much older and experienced Vannersborg club opponents. No backward steps and positive play from our boys. outclassed but no lack of effort. Stands us in good stead for future!. Thanks VRK and we see you again soon!.

Granly Skole open day

HRK was lucky enough to hold a space at the annual open day at Granly Barneskole. Games and tips on the Sport were shared and plenty of enthusiasm when it came to tackling the bag!

FRIVILLIG DAG EXHIBIT

As part of Horten Frivilligsentral volunteer day, HRK join many other clubs and organisations in the park to show the wares of Union and Wheelchair Rugby, and give visitors a try at passing, goal kicking, touch and for those super-keen, a go on the scrum machine.

TOUCH ROUND 2

A visit to the newly established Fredrikstad Rugbyklubb, saw our Senior Team finish second overall in the mixed touch tournament, while 2 of our junior's squad got to play alongside Romerike Rottweilers and also had a great day with new friends!

NINJAs GO BOWLING

Feb 1 saw Our Level 2 Ninjas squad go to Vestfold Bowling Horten for a social event under the Rugby Fun project. Lunch and 2 rounds of bowling and HEAPS of fun. Great to see so many kids and parents hanging out.

Opening Ceremony of Horten Arena

A combined crew of Honey Badgers and Ninjas represented HRK at the opening ceremony of Horten Arena Lystlunden. Included a March into the new hall, formalities around the opening with the Mayor and Idrettsråd, followed up by some coffee cake fruit and snacks at the clubhouse. Good fun!

HRK AGM

All done for 2020. Board, Election committee and control committee chosen and confirmed. Budget confirmed.

A good day to get things done, plus a big lunch and entertainment for the kids. 

A tidy up of NIF requirements to club governance was a real proritity and thanks to both NRF and Vestfold & Telemark idrettskrets for assistance here.

Amendments accepted for 2020 and beyond include membership costs to be determined a year in advance - purchase available from January 1 2021..  350 kr per family or 200 kr per individual!

Honorary Memberships are now also available to Horten Rugbyklubb as of 2020.

Rugby Gymkhana

Horten Rugbyklubb competed against Rugby clubs from around Norway today in a fun set of obstacles and challenges created for all ages and sizes. Great fun day, will bbq lunch and some mixed Tag Rugby in the afternoon.

Rugby-Fun Saturday

Horten Rugbyklubb invited Region Øst juniors to Horten to give many of our Ninjas their first competitive event. 

As well as seeing some impressive skills and hard running the kids were also able to throw a boomerang, smash their coaches in Tug-o-war and enjoy a bbq. Brilliant weather for a brilliant day. Thanks to all for coming and joining the fun.

Rugby-Fun Road Trip

Horten Rugbyklubb Ninjas took a roadtrip to Voldsløkka Oslo today to join the Rugby clinic and Tag Rugby tournament hosted by Sagene Rugby. Again, some good play by all and proud to see the Ninjas take up the challenge of new experiences in contact and goal kicking.

Ninjas Tag Tournament

5 of our Ninjas went on tour to Oslo to take part in a tag tournament and skills session hosted by Sagene RK. Followed it up with a bbq, World Cup Semi Final replay and then live match between Sagene v Trondheim in the Men's XV series final. Despite the cold and wet the Ninjas rocked!
